Riders have always loved visiting wine country, tasting its rich history, and enjoying the freedom of the backroads on a motorcycle. One of the things that makes this ride so special is you get to experience all the wonderful beauty of wine country in Temecula, all while getting your wind therapy on two wheels!  This ride will give riders a unique, fun, and intimate way to get to know this beautiful wine region and will immerse riders in Temecula's culture, history, and how it became what it is today.

Borrego Springs

altitude, and interesting places to explore along the way. Borrego Springs, a mid-sized desert town offering several great lunch options such as Carmelita’s Mexican Grill and Carlee’s Bar and Grill. There are several gas stations in Borrego Springs, so fill up your tank, grab a bite to eat, and head West. Following Route 78, through Santa Ysabel, enjoying the desolate desert scenery and the sun-drenched road stretching in front of you and out into the horizon. There will be several lookout points where you can stop and take photographs, stretch your legs, and take a break. Past Borrego Springs, the road begins to ascend offering exciting curves, big, sweeping bends, and a changing landscape as the desert badlands give way to rocky foothills and canyons. Route 78 crosses the Anza-Borrego State Park, known for its wild and rugged natural beauty, especially spectacular during the wildflower bloom in spring.  As you leave the Park boundaries, Route 78 will begin climbing sharply, knotting itself into countless steep turns and switchbacks.

Idyllwild Ride

Located just outside of San Diego in Southern California is a ride that offers the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. One of the hidden gems in California, this ride has everything a motorcycle rider can wish for: sharp turns and fun twists, stunning mountain and canyon scenery, and plenty of motorcycle-friendly places to stop and eat along the way.  For the maximum enjoyment of all the curves and switchbacks, riding the byway will provide you with the ability to really lean into those corners while you are climbing from sea level to over 6,000 feet in elevation. As you prepare for your trip, pack your motorcycle for wildly varying temperatures. Idyllwild has moderate temperatures, but along the way you can expect sweltering heat that can exceed 120 degrees. Be extra careful on the stretch between Idyllwild and Lake Hemet as the road is very narrow here with a rock wall on one side and sheer cliffs on the other. The guardrails here offer very little security if you overshoot a corner. There might also be wildlife wandering into the road, so ease off the throttle and take in the views instead of rushing into the curves. Idyllwild Bakery & Brew is a must-stop lunch place where you’re guaranteed to meet other motorcycle riders also taking a break on their ride.
